Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is an exfoliation procedure that uses a diamond tipped applicator and gentle suction to sand away the thicker outer layer of the skin.
Your esthetician will trace the tip of the device along the surface of your skin as suction is applied, which creates a uniform pressure as diamond-encrusted removes the topmost layer of skin cells. The dead skin cells get vacuumed up into the filter of the microdermabrasion device. In a sense, microdermabrasion could be considered to be similar to a very sophisticated, very controlled, sandpapering of the skin.
This process gently exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells to improve the health and appearance of the skin. Clients can expect their skin to feel refreshed, soft and smooth after this treatment.

Microdermabrasion exfoliates by physically sanding away the uppermost layer of dead skin. This can improve the look and feel of the skin, revealing smoother, more youthful-looking skin.

Pre and Post Care
Before your microdermabrasion appointment, remember:
Do:

Stop using retinoids and other actives such as AHAs and BHAs 5 days before your appointment

Wait 5 to 7 days after your treatment to start using retinoids, AHAs, or BHAs again

Keep your skin well hydrated with a protective moisturizer

Avoid direct sun exposure for the 14 days following your appointment, and be extra diligent about daily use of sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) during this time
Don't:

Scrub or manually exfoliate skin with wash cloths, scrubs, or exfoliating sponges in the week after your treatment

Wear makeup for 24-48 hours after your appointment, if possible

Touch, scratch, or pick at your face after your treatment (your pores are very open and you don't want to introduce bacteria)

Exercise or engage in other rigorous activity in the 24 hours following your treatment (This is to minimize sensitivity, redness, and the potential for outbreaks)

Cancellation Policy
Each client's appointment is of the utmost importance to us. We want to give your service the time and attention it deserves.
As a result, we respectfully request at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or make changes to your appointment. Failing to give 24 hours' notice will result in a 50% charge. Any no-shows will be charged 100% of the service amount.
72 hours' notice is required for rescheduling or cancelling packages, including group bookings and reservations with multiple services.
A credit card must be on file when booking in order to reserve all appointments. This will not be charged before the service is completed, except for in the case of a last minute cancellation or rescheduling, or a no show. In the case of repeated last minute cancellations, prepayment or a deposit may be required to book future appointments.
Additionally, please keep in mind that our services are often booked back to back. If you think you are going to be more than 5 minutes late, please call us so we can make adjustments to the schedule or reschedule your appointment.
If you need to cancel because of a personal or medical emergency, please contact us as soon as possible, and we can decide how best to proceed.
